Obituary of Barbara Woloszczuk

Barbara (Ellington) Woloszczuk of Glastonbury.  Barbara passed away on December 7, 2019 at the age of 89 after a year long battle with ALS. Born in Manchester, CT, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude and Cleveland Ellington. In 1952, she married Alfred (Fritz) Woloszczuk, who predeceased her in 2010. Barbara was very active at the Riverfront Community Center attending knitting group, playing setback and BINGO, attending senior lunch and helping to send out The Sharing Tree newsletter to seniors in the community. She was an avid Red Sox and UCONN Basketball fan. She was a member of AARP, Chapter 2010. She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-laws, Jane and Frank Breen of Manchester, CT and Holly and Jim Dillon of Glastonbury, CT. She was the proud grandmother known as Mimi to her only grandchild, Jennifer (Dillon) Dupuis and her fiancĂ© Brent Boemmels of Glastonbury, CT. She also leaves her two precious great grandchildren, Dillon and Kelly Dupuis, also of Glastonbury, CT, her brother and sister-in-law Richard and Mary Ellington of Eastham, MA, her sister-in-law, Lydia Ritchie of Glastonbury, CT and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Saturday Dec. 14 from 10am to 12 noon with prayers at 11:30am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, Barbara requested that donations be made to "Flags on Main Street Fund" in memory of Barbara and Fritz Woloszczuk.
