Obituary of David G. Stump

David G. Stump, 74, of Colchester, passed away on Monday, Sept 16, 2019 in Niantic.  Dave was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 22, 1945.   He married Carol A. Clark on May 05, 2001. He worked as a Health Physics Technician in nuclear power.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict in the Navy attached to the Marines as a hospital corpsman and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal and the Fleet Marine Force Combat Operations Insignia.  He was a volunteer member of the National Ski Patrol and was very active in the Cape Dory Sailboat Owners Association.  Dave is survived by his spouse Carol A Clark, his siblings Donald Stump, Linda Hansen, Cathy Michler and Lee Stump and their extended families.  Dave is also survived by Carol's extended family including her sister Susan and husband Dale Gifford, her sister Cindy and husband Jack Pacino, her nieces Carrianne and husband Kenneth Kirby, Melinda Gifford, Amber Gifford and her nephews Andrew and wife Jacki Gifford, Matthew and wife Kelly Pacino and Jason and fiance Ashley Kern.  Carol would like to thank "Asare" Kwaku Ntem Aggrey for his care, dedication and companionship of Dave over the years.  Funeral Service will be held 10:00am on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury.   Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 5-7pm.  Donations may be given to Disabled American Veterans of Connecticut, 35 Cold Spring Road, Rocky Hill CT 06067.  The family of David wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Bride Brook Rehabilitation Center, Niantic CT.
