Summer friends become life long friends. This is so true of the LaCava family and the Hirst family on Chapman Beach. There are no words that describe the loss we feel - looking at the LaCava cottage is just hard. I always knew that when my mom and Fagan would visit with Domenic, they would have had something to eat or drink, come back with stories and a lighter heart. Even though the house will be dark this fall, Domenic will still be with us.
