Obituary of M. Francis Byrne

M. Francis (Frank) Byrne, 85, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2012 after a long illness. He was born in Darby, PA on March 27, 1927 to the late Peter and Mary (Dermody) Byrne. He was a faithful member of both St, Scholastica Roman Catholic Church in Lecanto, FL and St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Glastonbury CT. Lifelong member of the Collingdale Fire Department #1 in Collingdale, PA., a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus, Chapter #2 in Meriden CT and served his country faithfully in both World War II and the Korean War as a member of the US Navy. Frank is a graduate of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA. He was employed for 34 years to C. B. Fleet Company as a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Irene (Walsh) Byrne, five children, Renee (Mark) Anderson of Colchester, Ct., Paul (Lisa) Byrne of Glastonbury, Ct., Stephen (Patricia) Byrne of Media, Pa., Kenneth (Alison) Byrne of Durham, Ct, and Susan (Beat) Jucker of Royersford, Pa., and 12 grandchildren, Molly, Colleen and Bridget Anderson, Matthew, Weston and Shannon Byrne, Ashley and Brittany Byrne, Hailey and Conner Byrne and Daniel and Patrick Jucker, his brother Peter J. Byrne of Chicago, IL and Naples, FL and sister Anne Hanratty of Houston, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday Nov. 7 at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Tuesday Nov. 6 from 4-7pm.
