The world has surely lost a most unique individual - generous, kind, compassionate, and always willing to giving of herself, and always with a smile. Peace to Bernice and all of the Barrasso family as she joins her beloved Charlie.

My deepest condolences. Bernice was one of the most beautiful and intelligent woman I ever had the pleasure to know.
She loved my husband Bill.
Bill, Bernice and Charlie are all together now and I know they are having a ball talking about Lions business and keeping an eye on us.
We will all miss you dearly.
Rest in peace my friend.

To the Barrasso family: So sorry to read of Bernice's passing. I've known her all my life. Gilead has lost one of its pillars. She and Charlie were prominent members and participants in Gilead's community life. Her nephew, Charles Malecky, was my best friend when we were growing up. She will be missed. God Bless!

Bernie’s grace, compassion, thoughtfulness and generosity were among the many qualities that set her apart from us mortals. She truly was a saint. Buz and I believe it was her powerful spirit that was in large measure what bolstered his recovery many years ago. Bernie had more energy, curiosity and optimism than anyone and every day she taught me something. Buz and I send our condolences to family and friends. We were blessed -and remain so -having had Bernie in our lives.

Surely, one of the most sensitively kind people I have ever been blessed to know, Bernice never missed an occasion to demonstrate affectionate care and sincere interest. Though our interactions were infrequent, I'll miss the assurance of a warm welcome the next time I am at Holy Family. Charlie, Gloria, and John are rejoicing at her arrival!
