Obituary of Marilyn Peck

Marilyn R. (Rogers) Peck, 82, of Glastonbury, died Friday September 28, 2012 at Fox Hill Center, Vernon. Born February 25, 1930 in South Weymouth, MA, daughter of the late Caleb and Elizabeth (Hale) Rogers, she had lived in Glastonbury since 1959. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Konover and Associates for many years , and prior to her retirement she was the Administrative Assistant for Dr. Michael Pines. Marilyn graduated from Wethersfield High School and the Hartford Secretarial School. She was a longtime member of the Buckingham Congregational Church, a Deacon for the church, and she enjoyed many autumns on the dried flowers committee for the annual Buckingham Church Early American Fair. For over 60 years she regularly played cards with the "Bridge Ladies", her beloved friends from high school. Marilyn is survived by her sister Barbara Rogers of Sturbridge, MA, her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas R. and Kelly A. Peck and their children Caleb J. Peck and Jessica M. Peck of Sturbridge, MA, her daughter and son-in-law Joanne and Richard J. Cleary Jr. and their children Marin E. Cleary and Michael J. Cleary of Ellington. Funeral service will be Wednesday Oct. 3 at 10am at the Buckingham Congregational Church, 16 Cricket Lane, Glastonbury. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., on Tuesday Oct. 2, from 5-7pm.
