Robert Grover, long time resident of Glastonbury, passed away at home on October 21 after a long battle with cancer. In addition to his wife, Barbara Mazur, Bob leaves behind his son, Andrew of Glastonbury and daughter Stephanie with her partner Victoria of Boise, Idaho. He is also survived by his mother, Gladys Lanoue, brother John Grover and his wife Carin from Oregon, as well as 3 nieces and many loving in-laws and cousins across the country. Bob was born August 27, 1948 in Meriden, CT and attended Meriden schools through Maloney High School ’66. He graduated from CCSC and worked at Hartford National Bank, accounting department, then the Defense Dept. on a federal grant. His career path led him to work as an accountant for the State of CT for 26 years, retiring in 2005. Bob was a true Red Sox fan throughout the years. He also enjoyed antiquing, fishing, traveling and gardening. Our family is grateful to all the kind, loving and supportive care given by Midstate Medical Oncology Team and the Hospice Care of Hartford Health Care at Home.
