Obituary of John J. Ostrowski

John J. Ostrowski “Gus”, 90, of Jewett City formerly of  Voluntown and Newington, died Friday October 5, 2018 in Norwichtown Rehab and Care Center. Born April 16, 1928 in Newington, he had lived in Newington most of his life before moving to Voluntown. Gus was a sheet metal worker for Local Union #40 and had served in the US Army during World War II. He is survived by a brother Bob Ostrowski and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Dorothy James, Betty Maxtutis and Florence Bala. Funeral service will be private. For online condolences please visit www.mulryanfh.com.
