Obituary of Eleanor T. Dolan

Eleanor Dolan, 92, of Glastonbury, died on May 11. She resided for the last eight years at the Glastonbury Health Care Center. Eleanor was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on February 11, 1926, to Joseph and Mary Joyal. She was a graduate of the High School of Commerce. Prior to her retirement, she was a manager in the financial services department of Baystate Medical Center. Eleanor experienced great happiness spending time with her three grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as “Gam”.  She was overjoyed to also have five great-grandchildren. Eleanor was a devoted Catholic of strong faith. She enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod with family. Eleanor also loved dogs and always spoiled them. Eleanor was widowed at age 47, when her husband, William Dolan, Sr., died. She is survived by her son, Bill and his wife Gina of Glastonbury, grandchildren, Erin Armada and husband Chris, William Dolan, III, and wife Eileen, Kevin Dolan, and her five great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue in Glastonbury on Saturday May 19 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. The family extends our thanks to the staff of the Glastonbury Health Care Center for their compassionate care.
