To the family of Dorothy, I am so very sorry for your loss. It was always a pleasure to see her and she will be deeply missed. I will always remember how beautiful she dressed and looked no matter how she felt.

I have such wonderful memories of time spent with the Hartley Family. Losing a parent is so difficult, but with the passage of time, the happy memories edge out the sadness. My deepest condolences to Colleen, Richard, and William and their extended families. She was a lovely lady.

A great woman has gone from this life, but never gone from our hearts. It pains me greatly that we will never again talk and laugh together. We met at bowling decades ago and, despite our age difference, we just hit it off and remained great friends every since. Dor, as I called her, was so easy to be with; she would talk endlessly, hardly coming up for a breath! We often laughed til we cried. She was so funny and mischievous, never acting her age! She quite amazed me on our trip to Ireland; having just recovered from her lung operation, she insisted on climbing to the top of Blarney Castle! Having been much blessed with the "gift of gab," there was no need for her to kiss the stone! Dor had a big laugh and a big heart and her enduring love for her family knew no bounds. Last week I came upon an envelope containing some miscellaneous family photos; there was one among them I took of Dor from our trip to Barbados; I now feel like it was her way of saying goodbye to me. Hail and farewell on your journey, Dorothy; know that you take a piece of my heart along with you, my faithful friend. May God bless you and love your sweet spirit. Xx

Dorothy Ann was a beautiful, kind person. When we talked on the phone she always had nice things to say. I always had a smile on my face and always felt better after speaking with her. She especially loved her family very much. Although we did not speak that often, she was always in my thoughts. I will miss her very much but I know she is in heaven watching all of us.
Your loving brother,
Steven
