No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. However, take comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the arms of our Lord. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Dear Carolle and Family,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Ben. He has always been an inspiration to me in the civil rights arena! It was his leadership, mentoring and encouragement that allowed me to continue in this "struggle" for freedom, justice and equality!. Cling to the fond memories that you possess, and he will continue to live on! Thank you for sharing Ben with all of us! His life and memory are indelibly etched on my heart and mind!!!
With Sincere Sympathy,
Joan Harrison Gibson

Dear Carolle and Family, I will always remember Bennie’s kindness, activism and the many fun times in the late ‘60’s - his yellow Corvette in Connecticut.
We’re all just walking each other home. Take comfort in knowing you were a treasured part of Bennie’s beautiful journey.
Best always,
Jewell Dennis

To Ben's family and friends.
I've known Ben back in 1979 when we were doing Operation Push. WE would have meeting every Sat morning. I thought he was a cool guy. I've always wanted a ride in his cool yellow corvette. That never happened. I was sad to read that he has left us. He is at peace now. He will always be in your heart. Glad I have known Ben. He will be miss. Karin
