Although ,as a teacher in Glastonbury,I did not work directly with Betty Ladd, I was aware and very much admired her many accomplishments. Her development of the award winning "Current Issues Course" at Glastonbury High School contributed significantly to Glastonbury's reputation as an excellent school system. In addition, my dear Aunt Gladys lived in Milo,Maine where Betty grew up and knew her well. She often commented to me about what a special person she was and how much she enjoyed her friendship. The world,and especially Glastonbury , is a much better place because of Betty Ladd. Most sincerely, Mary Ellen Sias
