Obituary of Kimberly Anne Thompson

Kimberly Anne Thompson 52 of Manchester passed away with her family lovingly by her side.

Kim was born on March 28, 1971, to George and Betty Thompson. Kim leaves her daughter Arianna, mother Betty, brother Adam, sister-in-law Melissa and Kimberly’s significant other Ghows Tarzi. She also leaves her Aunts Nancy Thompson, Suzanne Chartley and Uncle Skip Chartley.

Kim went to Manchester High School class of 89. She graduated from Westfield State with a degree in Mass Communications. She moved to NYC to work as a page at NBC. She often worked on the set of Saturday Night Live in the mid-90s. occasionally she was even caught on camera. After a few years in TV, she returned to Connecticut and was CEO of ICI a display company in East Haven. Later Kim decided that she wanted to be a lawyer and follow a dream she always had.

Kim graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2007. She opened her own office in Glastonbury practicing Family Law. She loved the law and upholding it.
Kim was a beautiful person both inside and out. She could light up a room with her smile. She had a quick wit and loved having fun. She spent her younger years in Manchester and summering at Lake Hayward at the family cottage. Her happy place was Key West and listening to Jimmy Buffett. She loved going to the beach, swimming, family vacations and baking with her daughter.

Kim was a thoughtful and generous woman. She will be remembered by many of the people whose lives she touched. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 25, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle, 872 Farmington Ave, West Hartford with interment in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
