Obituary of Frances MacClain
Frances A. “Fran” (Drusbacky) MacClain, 86, of Glastonbury, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Salmon Brook Convalescent Home. She was born September 15, 1931 in Hartford, daughter of the late Frank and Anne (Krist) Drusbacky. She was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury and was predeceased by her sister and brother in law, Audrey (Drusbacky) Morway and Sperry Morway. She leaves behind 5 children, daughter Patricia (MacClain) Tourtilotte and her husband Steve, son Michael MacClain and his wife Louise, son David Terry MacClain, daughter Kathleen (MacClain) Leary and her husband Mark, son James MacClain and his wife April. She also leaves behind her very special grandchildren, Shauna (Leary) Warner and her husband William, Andrew Leary, Alexa MacClain, Allie Korner, Brodie and Mikayla MacClain, Bryn, Bryson and Donovan MacClain. Frances is survived by her sister, Barbara (Drusbacky) Price and her husband Jay. Frances was a lifelong Red Sox fan and would write play by play notes during each game just to make sure all details were recorded. In her earlier years Fran loved to spend her summers at the cottage on Lake Hayward. She was an avid bowler and also enjoyed shopping. Fran had many occupations through the years working as a Secretary/ Bookkeeper, Bank Teller and what she really excelled at a homemaker and keeper of the household. To allow family and friends time to attend the service including her first great grandchild, Audra Frances Warner, a celebration of her life is planned for May 4, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Mulryan Funeral Home 725 Hebron Ave, Glastonbury. Burial will follow in St Augustine Cemetery South Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or the charity of the donor choice.
