Obituary of Vincent C. Lawlor

Vincent C. Lawlor, 97, of Glastonbury, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025. He was born in Newark, N.J. to Christopher and Constance (Quatrochi) Lawlor. He grew up in South Orange, N.J. He is survived by loving wife Catherine, with whom he just celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. Surviving family also includes daughter Christine, sons and daughters-in-law Thomas and Patricia (Hill), Michael and Nancy (Coderre), grandson Michael Jr. and wife Hillary (Buckley), and granddaughter Jennifer and fiancé Leighton J. Johnson. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Pearl and Banks Lawlor, Leighton, and Lilyanna Johnson. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Constance Lawlor and Cecilia L. Maser, and daughter Claire Lawlor.

Vincent was working for Otis Elevator Co. when he was called to serve active duty in Korea with the 326th Company of the Army Security Agency. After his discharge, he returned to Otis and began working with computers. He progressed as the computer industry grew and by retirement was a programmer/systems analyst. It was Colt Industries that brought him to Connecticut and he retired from the City of Hartford.

In retirement, he served on the Veterans Service Commission of Glastonbury. He was a member of the American Legion Goodale-Ramaker Post 56, and the Korean War Veterans Association Connecticut Chapter 1.  He was a member of the Glastonbury Chapter of AARP and he managed the woodworking group at the Riverfront Community Center during its existence.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 10:00 am at SS. Isidore and Maria Parish in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
