Obituary of Patricia J. Quiggle
Pat Quiggle, (87), of Manchester, Connecticut, formerly of Fayetteville, New York, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 23, 2025. She was born Patricia Joan Cropp on September, 24, 1938, one of two children to Percy and Pauline Cropp in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Pat grew up on her family farm in Hartwell, Virginia and graduated from Stafford High School. After graduating, Pat married John Quiggle (deceased). She later graduated from both Onondaga Community and LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. Pat loved dancing, tennis, traveling, reading and playing Scrabble. She found it most relaxing when puttering with her garden flowers and house plants.
Besides being a homemaker, Pat worked as an administrative assistant at several companies. She was most proud of her job at the Pentagon. The brightest lights of her life were her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and enjoyed spending time with them as they grew. In recent years, she was blessed with many friends at Krause Gardens and South United Methodist Church.
Pat leaves behind her beloved daughter Jill (husband Brian Parkany), and three grandchildren – Caitlin, Andrew and Julia Mae, sister Brenda Goodman (husband Charlie) of Richmond, VA, a cousin Rosemary Dodd, and Ron Asterowicz, a dear friend for over twenty years.
In memory of Pat Quiggle, contributions can be made to South United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at South United Methodist Church, 1226 Main Street, Manchester, Connecticut, on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
