Obituary of Mary Katherine Pellizzari

Mary Katherine (Moylan) Pellizzari, 94, of Glastonbury passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Domenic L. Pellizzari.

Born in West Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas P. and Katherine (Hickey) Moylan. Mary Katherine attended St. Thomas the Apostles School, Mount St. Joseph Academy, Hall High School, all in West Hartford and Dean Junior College in Franklin, MA. She worked as a Medical Secretary for S.H.E. Medical Associates and Dr. Price in Glastonbury. Mary Katherine volunteered for over 35 years with My Sister’s Place in Hartford providing meals on the first and third Friday of every month. She taught adults to read through literacy volunteers, taught CCD at St. Paul Church, Glastonbury, ran the book fair at the Hebron Avenue School. Mary Katherine as a member of the Junior Women’s Club and a Den leader for Cub Scout Pack 156 at the Hebron Avenue School.

Surviving are her three children Dominick T. Pellizzari of Glastonbury, Patricia A. LaPointe of Manchester and Kathleen A. Pellizzari of Glastonbury, her sister-in-law Joan Moylan of Old Lyme, her brother-in-law Dr. Alfred Gomez of NY and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters Patricia Moylan of West Hartford and Maureen Gomez of NY, a brother Thomas P. Moylan, Jr. of Old Lyme and her beloved grandson Andrew James LaPointe.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:00 am at SS. Isidore and Maria Parish in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
