Obituary of Saverio Fusco

Saverio "Sonny" Fusco, 87, of Manchester, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1st, 2025 at Manchester Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Cletus (Remsen) Fusco for 49 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Valerie A. Fusco of Hartford, CT and his son, William M. Fusco and daughter-in-law, Patricia Fusco of East Haven, CT. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Nico Fusco of Orlando, FL and Livia Fusco of Old Saybrook, CT. He is predeceased by his son, Alan J. Fusco of Stratford, CT who passed away in 2022.

Sonny was born and raised in the Bronx, NY to his late parents Alfonso Fusco and Teresa (Immediato) Fusco. He worked in online software sales for over 20 years before relocating to East Haddam, CT where he and his wife owned and operated New Inn Kennels for over 13 years.

Sonny loved baseball, especially the New York Yankees to whom he tried out for in his youth. He also loved to travel, and hunt/fish in upstate NY and Canada. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family, enjoying a good meal and playing a hand or two of poker.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:00 am at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave, Glastonbury, CT with burial immediately following at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT. Friends and family may call on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Mulryan Funeral Home.
