Craig, You don't know me, but I was sorry to read of the passing of your wife, Sandy. in this week's Citizen. Her obituary touched me profoundly. My wife of almost 48 years, Nancy, was diagnosed about a month before Sandy was, but lost her battle on January 1, 2020. She spent quite a bit of time as a patient at Dana-Farber in Boston with an oncologist and researcher who followed Eric Winer from there to Yale. I also, have made some donations to Yale for their research, though nothing on the order of what you and Sandy accomplished. My condolences to you and your daughters on the loss of a valiant woman. I will be making a donation to your fund in the memory of her and my Nancy. Best of luck in navigating the next few months. I can say that "life goes on", but it tales time. Walton "Skip" Heley.

Sandy was a force to be reckoned with. Such a kind heart and soul. She will be deeply missed but, we will continue in her honor to find a cure!

Dear Craig, Samantha and Amanda,
Our hearts go out to all of you at this difficult time! For the entire time we lived on Hanover Field, Sandy was my best friend on the street. My conversations with her and walks with her brought me such joy and camaraderie. Her beautiful smile and bubbly personality lit up the world around her as did her big heart. Throughout this past decade I was so amazed with her selflessness as she raised record amounts of money to help others with metastatic breast cancer. Her legacy will live on in so many people but mostly her beautiful family who she loved so dearly. She touched all of our lives in such an impactful way. How blessed she was to have you three to go through life with , love and go on adventures…..
Much Love and prayers,
Suzanne , Ron, Ted and Ben Felix

One of my fondest memories with Sandy was coming together to support her mission, through fundraising efforts all over, and incredible events like Taste of the Cure. She inspired local businesses and communities to rally behind her cause, raising vital funds for metastatic breast cancer research.
Sandy’s strength, determination, and passion left a lasting impact on so many. Her legacy of hope and advocacy will continue to inspire. She was truly one of a kind, and she will be deeply missed.
Rest peacefully, Sandy. Your fight made a difference.
