Mass of Christian Burial
Obituary of Dennis Jay Sadlon
Dennis Jay Sadlon, 61, of Glastonbury passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022.
Born in Manchester, he was the son of the late Steven and Josephine (Keefe) Sadlon. He spent his childhood in East Hartford and then moved to Glastonbury where he graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1978.
His life was embodied by strength and independence. In the summer of 1980, he hitchhiked across the country with nothing but a backpack, maps, and a radio. He then spent the next 41 years perfecting his craft as a master plumber, in addition to heating, cooling, and sprinkler systems. He was proud to work for himself, charge a fair price, and provide for his family.
Some of his hobbies included hiking, fishing, cooking, and watching good action movies. He loved to solve problems and had an excellent, dry sense of humor.
Surviving is his son Patrick D. Sadlon of Glastonbury, his daughter Megan Sadlon of Long Island, his stepdaughter Laura Litewka and her husband Paul of Middletown, his two brothers Kim Sadlon and his wife Camille of Glastonbury, Kurt Sadlon and his wife Lisa of Indiana, and his two grandchildren Alister and Helen Litewka, who was also his Goddaughter.
