Obituary of John Querido, Jr.

John Querido, Jr., 92, of Glastonbury passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 16, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Natalina (Jorge) Querido.

Born in Fall River, MA, John was the son of the late John and Isabel (Tavares) Querido. He worked for the Town of East Hartford as a light equipment operator for many years, retiring 30 years ago. John had a tremendous love for his immediate and extended family. Care and concern for the less fortunate were a top priority for him.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his daughter, Jane Querido, of Glastonbury and his son David B. Querido, his  fiancée Christine McGovern and her son Ryan Schultz of North Carolina.  He was predeceased by his brother Edward Querido and his sisters Evelyn Querido Daigle and Hilda Esteves.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 10:00 am at Ss. Isidore and Maria Parish at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will be in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
