Paul J. Dummitt, Sr., 65, of The Villages, FL, husband of Peggy E. Dummitt, passed away suddenly Saturday December 16, 2017 at home. Born February 7, 1952 in NY, NY, son of the late Fred and Florence (Shaheen) Dummitt, he had lived in Glastonbury most of his life before moving to Florida 3 years ago. Prior to his retirement he was a top producing sales representative for F.W. Webb. Paul was a member and past president of the Glastonbury Lions Club, a Cub Scout leader pack # 356, a co-founder of the No Rules Corvette Club and an avid Red Sox Fan. Besides his wife he is survived by 2 sons Paul J. Dummitt, Jr. of Farmington, James F. Dummitt of Seymour, 2 grandchildren Ashley Dummitt and Paul J. Dummitt, III, 2 step-daughters, Danielle Miano, M.D. and Lauren Miano, 3 brothers-in-law and their wives, Bob and Karen Everett , Dale Everett, Jeff and Lori Everett, a sister-in-law Pattie Randlett, his birth mother Gloria Parsons of Springfield, his half- brother Alan Parsons and his wife Tina and 2 half- sisters and their spouses Linda and Nathan Holway, Diane and Eric Shanbrom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Dec. 29 at 10am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury (everyone please meet at church). Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Thursday Dec. 28 from 4-7pm.
