Obituary of Dorothy Terlesky Jensen

Dorothy (Terlesky) Jensen, 94, of Glastonbury CT, died peacefully at home on Wednesday (May 3, 2017). She was predeceased by her loving husband Raymond, who died in 1998 and daughter Kristina Jensen Wieselberg, who died in 2003. Dorothy is survived by her loving family, Pam and John Busch of MI, children Kirsten, Christian and Justin; Peter and Patricia Jensen of MA, children Christopher and Jennifer; Kristina’s daughter Anna Bothilda Wieselberg, son-in-law Jeff Wieselberg of Glastonbury; and four great-grandchildren, Madeline, Elliot, Parker and Maisie. Dorothy lived her entire 94 years in her hometown of Glastonbury. She spent much of her life supporting family and friends in times of need. She was the office administrator for Dr Liebman’s dental practice for nearly two decades. She directed the Bristol Stroke Club for almost 20 years. She loving delivered her trademark prayer shawls and bowls of rice pudding to countless people. The loving relationships she developed would be hard to match anywhere. Of her many devoted friends, our family is especially grateful to the dedicated Glastonbury VNA members that provided compassionate care for our mother over the last few years. She will be greatly missed by us all. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 7, from 2-4pm at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury. The funeral service will be Monday, May 8, 11:00am at South Congregational Church, 949 Main Street, South Glastonbury, followed by a luncheon reception in the church hall. A private burial at St James Cemetery in Glastonbury will follow. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Kristina Wieselberg Scholarship @ GHS, c/o Alison Schneider, 36 Tryon St, South Glastonbury, CT 06073 or the Friends of Glastonbury Youth, (with thanks to Chris Gullotta), P.O. Box 284, Glastonbury, CT 06033 or South Congregational Church, 1301 Forbes St, East Hartford, CT 06118. For online condolences please visit www.mulryanfh.com.
