Obituary of Bernadette Dooling Bradley

Bernadette (Dooling) Bradley, 82, of Canton formerly of Glastonbury, died Thursday January 19, 2017 at the Cherry Brook Health Care Center in Canton. Born September 24, 1934 in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Norbert E. and Helen M. (Maloney) Dooling, she had lived in Glastonbury for 43 years moving to Canton 2 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 1999 she was a Registered Nurse at Mercyknoll. Bernadette graduated from Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing in 1955 and was an RN in Pennsylvania and Connecticut. When she lived in Glastonbury she was an active member of St. Paul Church where she was a member of the Senior Choir, the Resurrection Choir, the Parish Council and the League of the Sacred Heart. She was a member of the Separated and Divorce Ministry, former member of the Glastonbury Yacht Club, past president of the Naubuc Green and volunteered at Our Lady of Calvary Retreat. Bernadette is survived by a daughter Mary Catherine Bradley Derosier and her husband Gregory of Stafford, 2 sons, Kevin Patrick Bradley and his wife Kirsten of Canton, John Charles Bradley and his wife Jill of GA, a brother Norbert Edmund Dooling, Jr. of Havertown, PA, 2 sisters, Marie D. Gormalley of Peabody, MA, Madeline Lyons of Carlisle, PA, a daughter-in-law Cheryl Sullivan of Tolland and 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son James Robert Bradley and 2 brothers Joseph and Paul Dooling. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Feb. 3 at 10am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Thursday Feb. 2 from 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, c/o St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury, CT. 06033.
