Obituary of Frank DiGirolamo

Frank DiGirolamo, 85, of Glastonbury, formerly of Newington and Westbrook, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 10th. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Frances (Maradei) DiGirolamo. Frank was born in Hartford, on December 2, 1925, son of the late Erasmo and Mary-Grace (Mangini) DiGirolamo. Frank was a plumbing and heating contractor, who established The Maple Plumbing and Heating Company in 1950. He continued to own and operate the business until his retirement. Frank was known for his love of dancing, enjoying a good laugh, playing setback, checkers and spending time with his family. He was a 4th degree Knight and Honorary Life Time Member of the Knights of Columbus. He will be sadly missed by his three sons and their families; Tom and Nancy of Portland, Mark and Mag of Newington, Jeff and Cindy of Glastonbury. and his adoring grandchildren, Taylor and Zack, Chris, Tim and Mike and Jenna, Amy, Heather and Karyn. He leaves his sisters Rose Lesovick of East Hartford, Julia DiGirolamo of Wethersfield, Angie DiGirolamo of Wethersfield, and a brother John DiGirolamo of Newington. He was predeceased by his brothers Steve and Raymond DiGirolamo. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Glastonbury Health Care Center. Funeral service will be Wednesday April 13, 12:15pm from the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00pm in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home TODAY from 4-7pm.
