Obituary of Elda Carbone

Elda (Frison) Carbone, 86, of Glastonbury, widow of Anthony Carbone, passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 30, 1924 in Germantown, PA to Dominic and Angelina Frison and was raised in Abruzzo, Italy. At the age of 23 she returned to PA and moved to CT in 1962. Elda enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A loving mother, her generosity was unsurpassed. Elda will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Elda is survived by her son, Vincent Carbone, her daughter Yola (Robert) Feery and her daughter Sheila (Jonathan) Young; her grandchildren Lea (Mike) O'Leary, Bryan (Juliet) Feery, Erika (Chris) Flynn, Kristen Carbone, Taylor and Alyssa Young; her great grandchildren Hanna and Connor O'Leary and Bryan, Nicholas, Tyler and Chloe Feery. Elda was predeceased by her sisters Gina DiPietro and Lina DeSimone. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated Saturday Oct. 23 at 11:30am in St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday Oct 22 from 5-8pm.
