To all of Katie's family I send the greatest level of sympathy. I am sorry I did not know Katie had died until someone told me after the calling hours and services had already happened. But that matters little compared to my sorrow and to your loss and sorrow that Katie has passed away.

I had the great pleasure of working with Katie when I first joined P&W back in 2012. I was the sales guy doing everything to win a campaign and Katie was my common sense. She was firm but extremely fair and always looked for a solution. She guided me, and taught me - we were a great team, we had a lot of fun and I will be forever grateful for having the opportunity to work with her.

We are so very sorry. Our family adored Katie. She was so thoughtful and gentle. Katie was smart - a deliberate and careful planner, but she also had an impulsive side that could just pop out of nowhere. We loved her endearing and ridiculously adorable, slightly goofy sense of humor. She maintained that lightheartedness through to the very end. We will miss her so very much.

I remember her being such a kind and genuine person and I have such fond memories of spending time with her in Old Saybrook so many years ago. Katie was such a lovely person, in and out...I still remember her at my birthday parties when I was 6! And cheerleading all through high school. My eyes are tearing up as I am typing this. I am so sorry for your loss. I just can't believe that Katie is gone. It doesn't seem real. Even though I haven't seen Katie in years we used to be so close and she was a beautiful person inside and out. And my heart goes out to Jack and Megan. I can't believe they lost their mom. She always put them first. She was a great mom. I have to work Friday night at my second job, but I am hoping to make the funeral service with my kids Thomas and Anthony. They want to be there for their cousin Jack and Megan. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this very difficult time. It just doesn't seem real to me.

Katie was a kind and gentle soul -- and damn determined when she wanted to be! She was a friend to many of us at P&W and a valuable member of our team with her legal smarts and holistic outlook. We relied on her.
